NATIONAL soccer team, Taifa Stars, head coach Marcio Maximo has said an African nation could win the 2010 World Cup if there are proper strategies for realizing the dream.

The IPTL power generators yesterday did not begin power production as earlier promised by the Energy and Minerals Minister, Mr William Ngeleja in a bid to curb power rationing which has been hitting the country for one month now.
The minister toured the power plant in Tegeta area two weeks ago and gave the assurance but a spot check yesterday revealed that was not the case. A large male elephant staggered and died behind a new building block shortly before Tourism Minister, Shamsa Mwangunga inaugurated it in Ngorongoro last weekend.Spotting a large wound on its left leg the Jumbo had ventured near the new tourist information center for Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority, which also serves as entrance gate to both the NCAA and Serengeti National Park, staggering due to its badly wounded leg. Tanzania’s high court has sentenced four men to death by hanging for killing a 50-year-old albino man, local media reported late on Monday.

Police in Moshi are holding a middle aged suspect over allegations of murdering a relative and eating part of the deceased organs in a bizarre incident on Sunday.
The Kilimanjaro police boss, Lucas Ngh�oboko, confirmed the incident yesterday and said the suspect was under police surveillance at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) referral hospital where he is admitted. Read the rest of this entry »
