Azam FC chairman Said Mohamed has questioned some Young Africans aspirants’ knowledge of Fifa rules ahead of Sunday polls.
Mohamed criticised the aspirants, who promise to bring Mrisho Ngasa back to Jangwani Street, in order to attract voters.

The MP for Kasulu West constituency on the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) ticket, Mr Kilontsi Mporogomyi, yesterday appeared in a Dodoma court charged with careless driving leading to the death of a man.
Mr Mporogomyi, 61, a former minister under the third phase administration, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before the Dodoma Resident Magistrate’s court.
The Kasulu West legislator is in Dodoma attending the Parliamentary marathon budget session that began on June 8 and ends on Friday this week.Public prosecutor Beatrice Nsana charged that Mr Mporogomyi knocked down an unidentified man at Wajenzi area in Dodoma Municipality, causing his death.

Nearly 80 per cent of the land set aside for public use in onemunicipality of Dar es Salaam has been grabbed, a task force report reveals.The report found that in Kinondoni, 88 of the 110 inspected plots that had been earmarked for public utility had been quietly sold off and occupied illegally.
The seven-member task force, whose report was officially presented to Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner William Lukuvi yesterday, gives an idea of the magnitude of the land grabbing menace in the country.
The shocking findings confirm fears expressed in the past by the people, and echoed by President Jakaya Kikwete that land set aside for community services, including recreational facilities, has been grabbed. Read the rest of this entry »

The government policy that requires every ward in the country to have at least one secondary school has increased access to secondary education for pupils who pass Standard 7 examinations.
With the increase in secondary schools in the country, many primary school leavers are now able to secure admission in these schools, although the quality of education has not risen to required standards.
This is due to many challenges that face these schools, whose successful running requires joint efforts and initiatives by the government and other stakeholders.
