TSN employee dies in Dar es Salaam

THE Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited (TSN), publishers of ‘Daily News’, ‘Sunday News’ ‘HabariLeo’ and ‘HabariLeo Jumapili’ on Thursday lost its senior sales officer, Jennifer Mwela, who succumbed to delivery complications at Burhan hospital in Dar es Salaam.

The brother of the deceased, Milinga Mwela, said Jennifer died at 4pm after developing blood pressure while undergoing caesarian operation at the hospital.

He said during the operation, the 27-year old Jennifer was in an anaesthesia and therefore she witnessed the operation which, however, shocked her. The doctors strived to save her life but in vain — they only succeeded rescuing the baby. Mr Mwela said the mourning will be at the deceased’s Mburahati home and burial arrangements will be announced later. The late Jennifer joined TSN in 2007 as senior sales officer.

Prior to joining TSN, she had worked for OK Plast between 2001 and 2003 as Sales Officer and between 2003 and 2005 she worked for Kashin Car Muscat in similar capacity. She moved to IPP Media in December 2005 through June 2007.

The deceased was born in Dar es Salaam on October 24, 1983 and received her secondary education at

Bwabuki

Secondary School in 1997 through 2000. She later took computer studies. She is survived by a husband and one child.
